Annual General Meetings: more...

AGM

Annual General Meetings are normally held in late November or early December. All residents in the roads covered by the association, and over the age of 18 years, are invited to attend. While more people would be most welcome the turn-out is good for an association of this type.

The three local councilors and the police are always invited to attend and in recent years have always be represented.

Once the formal business has been attended to refreshments are served before the meeting is address by a guest speaker.

The minutes of previous meetings are available on this site.

ECAD: Earlsdon Conservation and Development: more...

ECAD

Earlsdon Conservation and Development (ECAD) was formed during the summer of 2003 because of what many people preserved to be adverse planning applications. Applications that if they went ahead, would adversely effect the environment of Earlsdon for the foreseeable future.

By negotiating directly with potential developers it is hoped that the fundamental character of Earlsdon will be maintained yet still allow commercial and private development to proceed for the betterment of all concerned.

RRARA

RRARA was formed in 1990 in response to proposals to run a tram service through the middle of Earlsdon. A public enquiry was forced which found in favour of the Residents and in consequence the scheme was dropped.

The aims of the association are to:

  • provide a forum for discussion of any matter concerning the local environment;
  • represent the collective views of its members;
  • take appropriate action on such issues;
  • promote opportunities to encourage a positive community spirit;
  • collaborate with other organisations as appropriate.
